Amad Almsaodi founded Aqarmap in 2011 after a successful career in the US working with industry giants such as Nike and Boeing. Aqarmap grew to become the leading online real estate marketplace in Egypt serving more than 2 Million buyers monthly, and facilitating more than 20,000 transactions annually worth more than $700m USD.

Aqarmap is the leading PropTech marketplace in Egypt, it was established in 2011, and it now helps more than 5,000 brokerage firms and 1,000 development companies to reach more than 2,000,000 buyers on a monthly basis. The company operated a subscription model for 8 years, and in 2018 it pioneered a transactional model that allows Egyptian buyers to buy off-plan properties from developers online using their credit cards. In 2021, 40% of the company’s revenue was generated now from the transactional model commissions.
