István Martis

István Martis joined Profession.hu in 2008 and has been the company’s CEO since 2014. From 2017 to 2021, he was a member of the Board of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG and Head of the company’s Central and Eastern European job portal portfolio. Over the years, Profession.hu has become a leading digital company in the Hungarian market, currently with 220 employees, providing a full range of recruitment solutions from job postings to recruitment services at every career level and in every region of the country. The company has won the “Best Workplace” award several times.

Prior to that, István spent nearly ten years in consulting, working in Hungary, Central and Eastern Europe, and the United States at a boutique firm and in the team of Korn/Ferry International. He studied law & political sciences in Hungary and Austria, later pursuing strategy, innovation, and management at Aalto University in Finland and at IMD in Switzerland.
